FoundedElgin in 1952; solar division later

Elgin is a Brazilian company founded in 1952 in Mogi das Cruzes. The brand became known in different sectors: electronics, air conditioning, refrigeration, automation and household equipment.

Solar energy was added to the portfolio later, with panels, inverters, mounting structures and kits. For modules, it is important to separate the tradition of the Brazilian brand from the identification of the factory and the specific model in each batch.

Focus and technology

Elgin Solar focuses on complete solar energy solutions for Brazilian homes and businesses.

  • Monocrystalline modules: panels aimed at current distributed-generation applications
  • Complete kits: panels, inverters, mounting and accessories through the same channel
  • National network: a sales and service presence built by the brand across different segments

Strengths

  • a Brazilian brand with a long history
  • an integrated component offer
  • service and distribution channels across Brazil

What to check before buying

Confirm who makes the module, the origin of the batch and whether the service network specifically covers photovoltaic products and their labour.
