Edson Mororó Moura and Conceição Moura founded the company in 1957 in Belo Jardim, Pernambuco. The Brazilian manufacturer grew from automotive batteries and went on to serve stationary, telecommunications, infrastructure and energy applications.
The Moura Clean line is designed for stationary applications, including renewable energy. The Silizium catalog is dominated by 12MF codes, which should not be confused with the MLF lithium line also offered by the company.
Focus and technology
Moura focuses on stationary batteries for renewable energy, telecom, UPS and backup.
- Manufacturing and a distribution network in Brazil
- The Clean line designed for stationary use and South American climates
- A reverse-logistics programme and technical documentation in Portuguese
What to check before buying
Clean models are energised lead-acid batteries. Respect torque, ventilation or gas venting, float/equalisation voltage, depth of discharge and the capacity stated at the model's C-rate; do not size them as if they were LFP.
Buying Moura equipment in Brazil
The Brazilian origin helps with documentation, distribution and reverse logistics, but the warranty remains tied to the application, charging regime, temperature and required records. Confirm whether the code is MF, MO, MX, VRLA or lithium before closing the bank.
